Our quality 2.4 metre ramp is suited to placing at doorways for assisted wheelchair access where the threshold is 200mm (approx 8 inches) or less above the ground level . This will allow a slope (gradient) of 1 in 12 or less, which is the preferred maximum slope for wheelchair use. Slightly higher thresholds, and the resulting steeper slope, may be possible for assisted use on a temporary basis, depending on the circumstances.

The same 2.4 metre wheelchair ramp, but joined to a 1.2m x 1.2m landing platform with handrails on any 2 sides. This set up is suited to more permanent assisted or unassisted wheelchair access, and provides a level location in front of the door for manouvering a wheelchair/handling keys/shopping etc, prior to entry or after exit. The ramp can be placed as shown, or straight out from the doorway if space is available in the garden.
Free standing half-steps with 1-4 steps - from £50.00 per month
- Temporary or semi-permanent less abled access
- Available in 1,2,3 & 4 step modules complete with handrails on both sides
- May fit over existing steps
- No attachment to home
- Bolts to existing step and/or ground
- Easily removed when no longer needed
- Typically installs in 1-2 hours
These steps come with a step height (rise) adjustment of between 75mm (half-step)and 150mm (full step). They are pre-set at 100mm for typical less-abled use, but can be adjusted to the required height by our technician at the time of delivery. They provide easier access than normal steps for less confident walkers. Handrails on both sides add to the ease of entry and exit.
Longer Ramp and Half-Step modules - from £180.00 per month

For locations where the threshold is higher from the ground, contact us for a longer wheelchair ramp and platform combination. We can add steps off of the landing platform and add gates if needed. Measure the doorway threshold height and contact us for your free wheelchair ramp or disabled half-step quote. Its helpful also if you can include a digital picture of the location.
